• Sustainable Property Operations. Management plans, maintenance, green cleaning, tenant and resident relations and education, tenant improvements and renovations, transportation
• Increasing Energy and Water Efficiency. The manager’s role in resource efficiency, benchmarking, resource use and supply, equipment and technology, measuring results
• Improving Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ). IEQ factors, proactive indoor air quality testing, IEQ surveys, materials, operations and maintenance
• Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Waste audits, recycling programs, composting, tenant and resident education, financial and environmental benefits
• The Sustainable Real Estate Management Company. Sustainable offices, vendors, certifications, networking and marketing
• Formulate a property operations and services contract. While implementing green building principals.
• Critically evaluate the functions of sustainable corporate real estate and facilities management as enablers of business;
• Analyze the range of contemporary issues impacting on the ownership and use of commercial property (e.g. environmental health, sustainable development, outsourcing etc)

TRAINING METHODOLOGY

The training methodology combines lectures, discussions, group exercises and illustrations. Participants will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge of the topics. The emphasis is on the practical application of the topics and as a result participant will go back to the workplace with both the ability and the confidence to apply the techniques learned to their duties.
