Effective Approaches to Aviation Insurance Virtual Course

This fully participative workshop requires no prior knowledge of Aviation insurance. It gives an overview of the development of the Aviation insurance market and the theory of flight. The workshop would be useful for those about to begin working in the field of Aviation insurance. The workshop also looks at the three major areas of business (Hull, Passenger and Products Liability) and the major aviation conventions.

• Types of risks written and its principles and practice
• History and development aviation and aviation insurance
• The current aviation market
• Main policy wordings in current use and the conditions and exclusions within the standard aviation insurance policy forms
• Statistics in rating of aviation risks
• Outline the development of international law and its effect on insurance passenger liability
• Detail how aviation is regulated on an international basis

TRAINING METHODOLOGY

The training methodology combines lectures, discussions, group exercises and illustrations. Participants will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge of the topics. The emphasis is on the practical application of the topics and as a result participant will go back to the workplace with both the ability and the confidence to apply the techniques learned to their duties.
