Legal Aspects of Business

To give insight to various Business and Economic Laws so that the participants are able to interpret the provisions of some of the important laws and apply the same in commercial and industrial enterprises.

• To examine the various legal forms that a business entity can take and the relative advantages and disadvantages of each of these forms 
• To understand various modes of dispute resolution in business transactions

• Sale of Goods Act
• Discuss the importance of law to the operation of business in Ireland
• Identify, discuss and apply the sources of law, including where relevant EU law
• Explain the nature and structure of the Irish legal system
• Explain the essential aspects of the law of contract and recognise the essential features of the law of negligence
• Explain the basic concepts of insurance and negotiable instruments

TRAINING METHODOLOGY

The training methodology combines lectures, discussions, group exercises and illustrations. Participants will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge of the topics. The emphasis is on the practical application of the topics and as a result participant will go back to the workplace with both the ability and the confidence to apply the techniques learned to their duties.
