Application Development with Python Virtual Training

Application Development with Python workshop adds skills and knowledge required to accomplish coding tasks related to programming in the Python language and the fundamental notions and techniques used in object-oriented programming. In addition, participants will become familiar with general computer programming concepts like conditional execution, loops, Python programming language syntax, semantics, and the runtime environment, as well as with general coding techniques and object-oriented programming.

Introduction to Python Programming

Perform Operations using Data Types and Operators

• Evaluate an expression to identify the data type Python will assign to each variable
• Perform data and data type operations
• Determine the sequence of execution based on operator precedence
• Select the appropriate operator to achieve the intended result

Control Flow with Decisions and Loops

• Construct and analyze code segments that use branching statements
• Construct and analyze code segments that perform iteration

Perform Input and Output Operations

• Construct and analyze code segments that perform file input and output operations
• Construct and analyze code segments that perform console input and output operations

Document and Structure Code

• Document code segments using comments and documentation strings
• Construct and analyze code segments that include function definitions

Perform Troubleshooting and Error Handling

• Analyze, detect, and fix code segments that have errors
• Analyze and construct code segments that handle exceptions

Perform Operations Using Modules and Tools

• Perform basic operations using built-in modules
• Solve complex computing problems by using built-in modules

TRAINING METHODOLOGY

The training methodology combines lectures, discussions, group exercises and illustrations. Participants will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge of the topics. The emphasis is on the practical application of the topics and as a result participant will go back to the workplace with both the ability and the confidence to apply the techniques learned to their duties.
