Advanced Respiratory Protection Course For Operators

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Understand respiratory hazards – Identify and assess airborne hazards, including particulates, gases, vapors, and biological contaminants commonly found in industrial environments.

Select appropriate respiratory protection – Evaluate and choose the correct respirators (air-purifying, supplied-air, and combination types) based on hazard type, exposure levels, and regulatory requirements.

Demonstrate correct fit and usage – Perform proper donning, doffing, and fit-check procedures for various respirator types to ensure effective protection.

Maintain and inspect equipment – Conduct routine inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and storage of respirators to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards.

Training Methodology

The training methodology combines lectures, discussions, group exercises and illustrations. Participants will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge of the topics. The emphasis is on the practical application of the topics and as a result participant will go back to the workplace with both the ability and the confidence to apply the techniques learned to their duties.
